What’s in My Toddler Bag

What’s in My Toddler Bag

Once your baby becomes a toddler, you’ll realize that you no longer need some of the things that you’ve been carrying with you in your diaper bag. Several of those items will need to replaced with a few new things. You probably don’t need a swaddle blanket or teethers or your breastfeeding items (unless you are still breastfeeding). Instead you’ll need more snacks (because that is what toddlers always want) and activities to keep them preoccupied. People have been asking me what I carry with me for my toddler so today I’m sharing what’s in my toddler bag so you can see exactly what I bring for me and my growing boy.

My Bag

I’m no longer using a designated diaper bag even though you definitely still can. I’ve just found it good to be able to wear a bag that I can transition my things for work and my son’s things when we’re together. I found this amazing Satchel Bag from GiGi New York and it’s been amazing for work and motherhood. It’s an investment piece but I seriously couldn’t recommend it enough. I love all of the compartments, how I can keep everything organized, how I can wear it over my shoulder or on my arm as a tote, and I think it’s gorgeous. Let me show you what I’m talking about as we look inside. ?

Nourishment for Mommy

It’s so important to have snacks on hand for yourself and stay hydrated throughout the day. This beautiful Porter bundle set is crafted with durable ceramic and is wrapped in protective matte silicone. The mug is a high-quality replacement for disposable, plastic or metal to-go mugs. It’s perfect for my morning coffee. The ceramic bowl is great for transporting a salad, grain bowl or leftovers. And the reusable water bottle is beautiful, durable, and made of lightweight glass and wrapped in protective matte silicone.

Wet Bag

I have a Storq wet bag inside my toddler bag purse that is like a whole other bag. Inside my wet bag I have some of the toddler care essentials:

Items to Play with

If you’re going out to eat, waiting in the waiting room at the pediatrician’s office or anywhere outside the house with your toddler, you need items to keep your little one happy and entertained. In one section of my toddler bag I have crayons, a coloring book and these adorable animal stacker blocks.

In another zipper compartment, I have even more items to keep my son busy. I have one of his favorite books, flash cards, and a stasher bag that has a bubbles container (bubbles will always make him smile) and other small toys.

Toddlers also make their moms feel like they are their snack ladies. They are always coming up to us for snacks. At least my toddler is. This is why I pack snacks that won’t expire as quickly in my toddler bag. The ones in my bag right now are:

I have them all inside a Stasher bag. If you haven’t heard of Stasher, you’re totally missing out. These food-grade silicon bags are a safe alternative to plastic. You can use them for food and knick knacks alike! Their pinch-loc technology make them easy to seal and leak proof to boot. Put them in the microwave, freezer, boiling water, dishwasher, and even the oven! They are truly amazing and a mom’s best friend.

I also have to have my essentials so in another section of my purse I carry:

  • lipstick
  • sunscreen: Supergoop CC cream and setting powder to protect my skin from the sun + look good at the same time!
  • my cell phone
  • phone charger
  • keys
  • business cards
  • wallet
